Paris
I'd like to say "thank you" to my History of Art 341 teacher.
I appreciated Paris so much more because of that class!

Le Tour Eiffel. This was our first stop in Paris. Trés Magnifique!

The view from the top... the Seine River

Silly little tourist fact.

The lower part of the St. Chapelle.

The St. Chapelle is breathtaking. Leah and I sat in there for a good 45 mins just staring at the stained glass.

By the way, you'll notice a recurring theme during our trip:

EVERYTHING was under construction.

More St. Chapelle glass.

The Conciergerie. I guess they imprisoned people here... but we wouldn't know since we weren't able to take the tour and all the "self tour" stuff was in French.

Notre Dame! (Ahem... construction...)

I love medieval art!

Leah pets a gargoyle.

Leah's artistic interpretation of what it felt like to climb all of Notre Dame's stairs to get to the gargoyles.

View of Paris from the top of Notre Dame.

Me and one of the famous "bells of Notre Dame". I don't look happy because it took three tries to get this picture.

The best Nutella crepe ever!

The Moulin Rouge on Pigalle (we did not go in...). I will never go to Pigalle again without a big strong man.

People are really creepy on that street.

Our favorite (cheap!) French meal. Wine, cheese, and bread. Our favorite expensive French meal was at Les Diables au Thym... YUMMMM.

The Metro. I am now a subway PRO.

One of the few pro-Le Pen rallies in Paris on May Day. Thank God he lost the election!

Neat-o fountain near Champs Elysees.

Arc de Triomphe. Hey, we had to hit all the important tourist traps, right?

Look! Its little Napoleon!

Yes, they really do make a "Royal with Cheese".

No collagen. Just gummy lips.

Le Louvre. aka "Welcome to Mindhead" aka annoying as hell because it was closed both days we were there!

No Mona Lisa for us. boohoo

This isn't actually Paris... its Vimy, France. We stopped here on our route to check out the Canadian monument. See below.

The ground looks like this because of all the shelling that went on here during WWII.

We couldn't walk on the grass because there are still unexploded shells out there.

The monument to all the Canadians who died in battle here.
