What I loved about Berlin: Its history, its old architecture.
What I hated about Berlin: Its history, its new architecture.

The "Broken Tooth". This old cathedral stands as a constant reminder of Germany's history (as if Germans really need the reminder...). They built the new church in front of it. Personally, I like the old one better!

This is one of the first stops on our 3 hour walking tour of berlin (In reality, it was 6 hours). I can't really remember why this is important. Sorry! Its cool looking though.

Ugly German architecture! What were they thinking??

Beautiful German architecture. Way to go guys!

The Brandenburg Gate covered with a big ad because it was under construction.

It says "The Once and Future Site of the U.S. Embassy, Berlin.
Apparently they haven't started construction on it yet because we "need more space" for our embassy. haha

They were going to put a memorial here for the Murdered Jews of Europe, but they're in a bit of a fix: They were digging and found one of Hitler's bunkers. Whoops! Honestly I think it would seem fitting to put a memorial there... but of course there is a lot of controversy.

"The Berlin Wall"

Checkpoint Charlie

Berliner Dome
Another example of beautiful German architecture. Rebuilt completely after the War, of course.

UGLY UGLY UGLY!!! Stop it now!

Tess (from Cali), Rob (from Canadaaah!)

We went back to Checkpoint Charlie the next day.

The shapes of the "dont' walk" and "walk" guys in Berlin is big with the tourists... so they made Gummy men!

Berlin is constantly under construction.

The longest remaining section of the Berlin Wall.
